Badass: Vampire Weekend – Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa Video
In a failed attempt to dig up the Blogotheque (Soiree de Poche Session) video for Vampire Weekend (what the fuck was this taken down for?!) I found a couple I wasn’t looking for. I honestly can’t believe I have never seen this video, it’s fucking retro as shit and includes a couple of hilarious 80′s movie-rip-off-shots. Just an all around badass video that deserves some recognition, apparently this video was posted back in August of 08′ so yeah, I’m late as fuck. As for the new side of things V-Dub has released a video for ‘Holiday’ that is cool, but nothing as awesome as this.

Badass Video: Avey Tare – Lucky 1
Avey Tare of Animal Collective has an amazing new solo album entitled, Down There and is hitting the shelves later this month. An early leak was tossed around the web a couple of days ago however so a simple Google search should send you right to it, and end your suffering. But a week or so ago a single was released entitled, ‘Lucky 1′ and of course, along with it came a trippy video. Directed by none other than Abby Portner (Avey’s sister) who, number one: has a strange vision and 2: has done numerous experimental Animal Collective videos (In The Flowers, Brothersport) so it’s no surprise she jumped on with this one, which is equally as weird and awesome as the others. Now, ‘Lucky 1′ certainly isn’t the best song the album offers up but it’s in the top 3 and probably works best for a video. Grab the album asap and check out this cool shit.
